OK folks - get ready for a seriously niche-product LOL: xTab is a combination text editor and typesetting tool for creating high-quality lute (early guitar-like instrument with a rounded back) tabulature, based on Wayne Cripp's TAB format. We originally wrote this app for the medieval ensemble Asteria and they agreed we should distribute it to the community!
